Annoying people being performative
I don't know how people can survive being surrounded by apathetic and inconsiderate people. Because that is where I find myself now. The culture here - at a public school - is vastly different to what I grew up with.
Friends are just people that are not actively mean.
Kindness is an exception,
And the few people that are capable of being great friends are inclined to not.
It frustrates me greatly that the kindest people here are still to caught up in their own troubles to listen to anyone for longer than 30 seconds. They all have their own stories and they all want to be the centre of attention. It is like they have never seen a world where the person they are focused on isnt in their own limelight; This seems to be because they cannot bring their attention off attention seekers.
The person yelling the loudest is the one that is heard.
So when I speak in an inside voice I am only heard by those already trying to listen to me.
