Thoughts Of A Guy Named Mason

Conversations and people being like, not open to new ideas and stuff

Hello. Its been a few days I think.

This should be the first blog-like blog post I have made, just gonna talk for a while.

Today, I had a very interesting conversation with a teacher at school. It started with the state of the school, soon took a turn into funding and how private schools get more than public schools for some reason; To my knowledge this is due to the actions of the Australian Liberal party in the 2010s, which I stated. I for some reason expected to not be allowed to talk about politics to a teacher... Teachers here are not allowed to express a political bias to student when teaching about politics.

But this teacher was nice and listened to what I had to say... they listen, this is fascinating to me because it is 1 or 2 instances I have ever had where I can talk about politics without everyone shutting down and getting angry.

The conversation then somehow turned into why people get so defensive and block off new ideas whenever someone brings up politics. The usual suspect - social media - was addressed.

And the conversation ended with them thanking me for being able to have a conversation because apparently most kids cannot do that?

Most kids cannot have a conversation? Huh? I am confused

I think she meant much more on possible controversial topics; But still it is an interesting way to word things.

Not sure where I am going with this.
