Health of the river forum - Calperum station 2025
Hello all. I have just gotten back form the HOTR forum of calperum station this year. It is a week long excursion/camp sponsored by local rotary clubs designed for year 9 and 10 students to learn about ecology.
Ecology is the study of ecosystems; And the camp included many variations and angles of this. First we were described the difference between a clinical ecology and a naturalist ecology. The former of which involved rigoras testing akin to the proffesional side of things. The latter is just the enjoyment of studying plants and birdwatching and exploring how small things contribute to the ecosystem.
We did a lot of things. Phones where not initially allowed even though we needed them for navigation and bird IDing. So I have written everything in a book, I am currently too lazy to write it all up so I will just photocopy everything.
