maybe not a Fucking horrible day
horrible things of the day in order in which they happened.
- My sister bumped into the table and spelt a hot coffee over me and dirtied my clean school clothes just after i got out of the shower.
- Sister not ready for school until 10 minutes before it starts (its a 15 minute walk away) and I had to wait for her before i left because parents had gone to work
- Teachers late for work and we ended up waiting for 10 minutes in 45 degree weather out the front of the class
- Everybody complains about not wanting to be at school and dumps my mood
- Walk outside in the heat and wait a few minutes for an assembly that is canceled when it starts
- Getting laptops, which are given expensive, fragile and slow, HPs that take 5 seconds to open file explorer.
- Laptop takes 45 minutes to turn on and i have to wait in the IT room until it does to get it setup (i dont know why they make 100 students ping a rate limited server to sign into school laptops)
- I am told I have to sign this legal document declaring a bunch of rules about what i can do with the laptop. you see but that wasnt written on the paper i signed, and the paper never said anything about other terms not written on it. So when I get in trouble for using firefox instead of chrome I will refute that the contract I signed stated those terms.
"The laptop under the below specifications shall be assigned to [name]"
Assigned is not defined and words spoken allowed to me while im signing the contract arent technically part of it?
- Have to walk across the school for both of my next 2 lessons, its still 45 degrees outside.
- I get very frustrated as i see how bloody slow the new laptops are. I have no fucking clue what is going on, they are new ryzen 5s with 16gb of ram its very confusing having a brand new laptop be this slow.. unless school updated the monitoring software and it makes everything slow.
- Walk 5 minutes to work in this bloody weather.
- Get out of work 15 minutes late because some customers were still shopping 5 minutes after the PA said they needed to go to the checkouts.
- Come home: no one made anything for dinner and its sunset already.
Fuuuuuuuuck, I hate this weather, I hate summer, I hate my peers at school.
But, on a good note. We are doing SACE stage 1 numeracy for math this semester, my teacher for it ive known for ages and she knows I am well ahead in math. When explaining the unit, a go at your own pace unit on employment, taxes, budgeting and money in general. You self assess your work and as long as everything is done to the standard by the end of the semester you pass. The teacher said "People have done it in less than a semester but nobody has done it in less than a term."
She then proceeded to look between me and my best friend. Thats a challenge.
So, 8 booklets, 4 summative assignments. 2 of which folios and the other 2 SATS(fuck is a SAT?), My teacher hasnt responded to my email about what a SAT is. I think its some sort of flexible test.
12 tasks, 11 weeks... Wow thats soo anoying.
I could definetly do a booklet each week, its the assignments I dont know if have the same flexibility as the booklets. I think its just the order and quality of things that need to be met rather than doing assesments as the same time as anyone else. Every teacher always says.
"if you finish the assignment before the due date thats great, if not then speak to me in advance ill give you an extention"
So, lets assume any assignment can be done any time before the due date assuming you have the prerequisits and understand it properly.
Anyway, my teacher also said she "has plans" for me when I finish this unit.
