Public Library

The internet is a giant public library of information and art. So what is piracy is not taking photo scans of pages in a book? or photos of an artwork to enjoy when you don't want to go to the library? You can't take a book out, only the person who put it there can, and then again there are probably copies so everything on the internet stays. But you can buy licenses to read copies of the books or artwork. Does that not just sound stupid? Esspecially when people have donated scanners and cameras to the library for the sole purpose of providing you a way to experience the things there without going?

It is a public library, any information in a public library is public information, and I see no reason restricting peoples access to the public information to the place it was originally displayed?
