So Little Structure In My Day
The summer holidays feel so slow. It is the section of the year with the least amount of things going on. I would like to blame at least part of this on the culture of my age demographic.
I dont want this to be another post about how all my friends are addicted to social media. But I don't know what other reason there is for my friends not wanting to socialise?
Is the only reason I ever see those people because they have to go to school? would they all just sit in their bedrooms playing games and watching tv and scrolling social media all day if they didn't have the responsibility of attending school?
The holidays do give me heaps of time to do other things but overall with such a loose structure i feel my time is spent less effectively than during a school week. A great example is when i work on projects, last year I remember coming home from work, opening up VS code and working on something until dinner time. This was fueled by me wanting to get stuff done and also the slight time pressure to do it right now that comes when i dont get any time to work on it until the middle of the afternoon.
Today I played video games and watched youtube and went shopping and spent about half an hour fixing a small thing in my current hobby project.
Not very effectively spent time considering its monday, and i had basically the same structure over the weekend.
I am exited to go back to school. I can't get stuff done with so little structure in my day.
