Thoughts Of A Guy Named Mason

types of smart

i had a discussion about this yesterday.

i think some of the types of intelect are; memorisers, pattern matchers, problem solvers, logical processors, and intuition? a lot of these overlap but no they are distinct.

memorisers are a product of the education system, they are 'smart' because they have good grades because they actually just memorised everything for the test.

pattern matchers are different, and not a product of the education system but rather a consequence of experience. it is noticing the logical patterns.

problem solvers. they do what the tin says. they solve problems but i think this one may be complementary rather than isolated. not quite the same as a logical thinker tho in my head they are different and i cant explain why

logical proccesors. simply put its using logic from information you have. perhaps that is the difference between a logical processor and a problem solver, one works with information given and the other works with information they find from indrect cues but that also then leaks into pattern matching.

intuition may simply just be an excuse for not knowing how you know something, but it is here nonetheless. it is using your experience to understand something.

and then creativly smart should be on here, being imaginative and having origional ideas.
