When people say hello to you, say hello back
So hello, thank you for taking the time to read this.
I am feeling really exhausted from peoples lack of empathy or gratitude.
I over analyse a lot of things. But my bloody god people are a thing I know I shouldnt not need to analyse that deeply. I am human, and I talk to humans, under most circumstances my intuition knows how to be a human.
And I don't want to think of how and why people are mean. There will be too many edge cases and too many inconsistencies for my brain to be able to wrap its head around. The human brain cannot understand itself, and it knows when it is time to stop questioning.
But why are people mean? Why do people go out of their way to be rude?
I don't even know if I want to know. It is more just that I hope the reason is something that can be solved by changing the environment and social fabric around everyone. But it isn't, if it was then someone long ago would have already done it.
Today, I had one of the younger kids at my school throw a rock at me. I told them "We do not throw things at people ok?" And they then kicked me in the knee.
Now too be fair, due to them kicking me in the knee my leg then jerked and hit them in the stomach. But was accidental.
You do not accidentally throw a rock at someone and then kick them.
.
That is only the extreme of people being mean. I would say it is mean to me when someone doesn't say hello.
The other day I was in a really good mood and I was saying hello to everyone I knew in any manner. Most people just ignored me, or looked at me funny. Now this is especially offending because I reached out to say hi to them, and they could not be so much as bothered to meet me halfway.
This made me feel like shit for the rest of the day.
I would be really interested to see how many people that read this actually read it, and how many read the first sentence and get bored.
