Working an after school job is stressful

I am still in high school. A few months ago I was presented with a problem; I need money, and a solution; get an after school job.

So I did, and for 3 months I have been loosing 5-6 hours of my week to the supermarket down the road. The thing with this is that I am starting to value those 5-6 hours I loose each week at more than minimum wage. No I can't ask for a raise, and no I can't just not work a job.

Another problem Im having is that I feel stressed, about time management. Im working this afternoon and I am anxious to start working on a project that I might loose track of time in or wont finish before I need to go to work. I do not like this feeling.

It also doesnt help that it is a casual position and I do not know when I will work until a week prior.

I am a firm believer that every problem has a solution and every solution can be optimised more.

So; a solution. Lets start brainstorming out what Needs to be solved with this.

Immediate proposal after seeing that is to resign from my current job. The next step could either be looking for a new job that meets the above criteria or finding an alernative way to make some money.

I am almost certain the only job opportunity outside of retail at this age is an apprenticeship, but I don't feel like doing a trade, so no.

Brainstorming other ways to make money:

Excellent list of things that are obvious enough to not need to list.

The things that catch my eye are content creation, possibly game development but that takes a much larger and improportional amount of time(the time scope is stretched out too far for it to be feesible to make a profit), I could make game assets, I know how to use blender and aesprite.

I also just spent 700 dollars on a camera that should come in the mail soon. If I am desperate for money I could probably monetise photography, but outside of getting hired to take photographs for events in my local area I dont feel like making people pay on the internet for photos of random things when I could just put them on a website or even just here on my blog for free and have a donation link somewhere if someone wants to.
